Edwardian Leadlights

Edwardian-Choose[1]

The Edwardian period was centered around 1900-1910 and was named after the time of King Edward. Some of the common features that characterise this housing style are timber features located around balustrades and balconies. The production of these features became possible by the development of machinery such as timber routers. The style is also characterized by Tudor style features especially on the gables and tall chimneys.

Many of our clients with Edwardian homes want to add value, beauty and character to there home by purchasing lead lights windows to go into the front door surround including transom, sidelights and door. There are many other places that our clients are putting their new and match existing windows including double hung sashes, internal doors and bay windows (both fanlights and sashes). The designs are generally simple and elegant, showing botanical features in a art nouveau style.
